PRIVACY NOTICE.

This notice explains the limited data processing on the public Founding Crew landing page at join.burntheboatsapparel.com. It supplements, and does not replace, the store privacy policy that will apply to shopping and orders.
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you join the Founding Crew, we collect your email address, an optional first name, your explicit email-marketing consent, the time of consent, and limited campaign attribution such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content, and term. We do not ask for payment, shipping, account passwords, or sensitive information on this page.
WHY WE USE IT
We use this information to record your marketing subscription, send the launch and product messages you requested, identify the signup source, prevent abuse, and measure the acquisition funnel when you permit optional analytics.
SHOPIFY AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
Confirmed subscriptions are sent server-to-server to our Shopify customer-marketing records. The public browser never receives a Shopify Admin API credential. Cloudflare may process request metadata to host and protect the page. Optional analytics may use Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, or Google Analytics 4 only after you allow analytics and only when the owner has configured those services.
ANALYTICS CHOICE
Optional advertising and analytics scripts stay off until you choose “Allow analytics.” Signup continues to work if you decline. A confirmed Meta Lead event fires only after Shopify confirms a new or renewed subscription. We do not place email addresses in analytics URLs. If Meta Conversions API is enabled, the email is normalized and SHA-256 hashed server-side for matching after analytics consent.
RETENTION AND YOUR CHOICES
The landing function does not create a separate subscriber database. Shopify retains the customer marketing record according to the store’s retention practices and legal obligations. Every marketing email must include an unsubscribe link. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete applicable personal data by contacting us.
